DoubleTwist equalizer not working

When I turn on the equalizer built in to DoubleTwist it works for the current song playing but when the next song is started the equalizer seems to be turned off although the switch is still in the on position. This feature had been working fine since I added it but suddenly stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling DoubleTwist but still not working. Tried rebooting phone too but same problem.
