Option to disable album art on the lockscreen without turning off notification controls

An option that lets you prevent your lockscreen wallpaper from being changed to the album art would be nice. The only user-end way to do this would be to turn off notifications for the application all together- which prevents me from using the media controls on the lockscreen. I want to keep the notification with the controls and my original lockscreen wallpaper at the same time. Thanks!

  An option to disable album artwork metadata updating has been suggested by other users so we are evaluating it for the future roadmap.
