Podcast Sync
So, there appears to be 1) a feature missing with regards to deleting content and 2) syncing podcast data with the app on Android.
In the first instance, you can remove a podcast that has been downloaded via the trash icon beside the podcast you want to remove. However, this only appears it to remove it from the list of podcasts recognized as being downloaded by the app - it doesn't actually delete the podcast. This creates real issues for the user as they have to go back and manually delete podcasts. And since the podcasts appear to be associated with some form of UUID, the mangled names in the file system make it difficult to determine which ones you want to actually delete.
This brings me to the second part of this post - if a podcast recognized as downloaded by the app is deleted from the file system, 1) the podcast will not play at all - it can not spin it from disk and it will not attempt to stream because it thinks it is in the file system and 2) the only way to fix this is to unsubscribe from the podcast. When you resubscribe to the podcast the system will not recognize content previously downloaded associated with this podcast and you have to redownload any podcasts you want.
I love this app and it has been the one that has worked best for me, but this issue is pretty obnoxious to work around.

Hello Matt,
Thanks for the report and feedback, we appreciate it.
When deleting a podcast episode, both the database and the file itself should be removed. If you find this not to be the case, please send us a log file.
1. Verify that the file isn't being deleted when the podcast episode is deleted.
2. Then immediately go into doubleTwist Settings.
3. Scroll down to select "Send Log Files" and tap "OK".
4. Enter "doubleTwist 21114" in the description text and tap "Send Logs" to email the logs to us.(You can ignore the automated request for more information that our server generates when the log files are received.)
As for the 2nd issue, I'll ask the the QA/Dev team to investigate why playback hangs if the file is missing. Normally it should jus skip to the next item in the queue.
