Chromecast Audio + Apple Lossless M4A not playing in CloudPlayer Platinum

I am having problems streaming lossless (ALAC / M4A) tracks to my Chromecast Audio using CloudPlayer Platinum. (Pixel 2 on Android 10)

The tracks try to play and then skip to the next track, endlessly. I am pretty sure I had this working fine a few weeks ago. I have tried emptying cache, playing from the phone, streaming from Dropbox. Nothing works. I read elsewhere that this issue was just a Google Drive issue, but I am a Dropbox user, and local play doesn't work either.

Another change to Google's API?

  Hello. Google Chromecast doesn't support the ALAC format as they only support FLAC and WAV lossless formats.
