I’m FRUSTRATED!!!!

I am having problems w/my device being recognized; I have downloaded "DoubleTwist" to my laptop and my Galaxay S3, still no luck (i uninstalled it on my Galaxy and reinstalled)?
Does DoubleTwist not work on the Galaxy S3, does anyone know, Uggggh, Charlie Brown!!!!
Any information, suggestions, websites, tech. support (nos./websites) are greatly appreciated.

Hello,

The Galaxy S3 only has USB MTP mode, which doubleTwist was not designed for as it expects USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode.

We are currently working on adding support for USB MTP support to doubleTwist. We hope to have a beta version of doubleTwist for Windows with MTP support for certain devices available within the next few weeks.

In the meantime, you can use AirSync to sync with USB MTP only devices such as the Galaxy S3 and Android tablets.

  Henry, 5 months ago you mentioned a beta that would allow for MTP support that would be due a couple of weeks (from that time). Any news on that front? I am currently on 3.2.1.14961 (beta) and there doesn't seem to be MTP support therein.

I downloaded doubletwist to my PC. Paid for the Airsync. Now it won't work. So frustrated. I am trying to get all of my itunes on to my new Galaxy 3. Downloaded all itunes to Google play. The I was told if I paid the fee for Airsync, I could just sync PC with the new phone.........it doesn't work.

Another Samsung S3 owner here - if you would make airsync available on Amazon I would gladly buy it. Its not available for me via the Google store.

I synced all my music through AirSync and then when i exited the application it all dissapeard. I am using it on a Samsung Galaxy S3

  doubleTwist Player uses two sources to recognize files on the device.
  
  1. Sync database created/updated by the computer application during a sync.
  2. Android Media Scanner database which is updated by the Android Media Database service. The service is usually triggered by mounting/unmounting in USB Mass Storage mode (if available), rebooting, or if an app such as Rescan Media launches an instance of AMS.

I find it insulting that they demand we buy additional featuresb ecausewe have up to date hardware. I won't use doubletwist on my gs3... I decided to give it another go on my tablet, and im back here again.

  It turns out MTP support implementation across the range of Android devices has turned out to be more challenging than we thought. some devices (a number of popular ones) have done their own custom implementation and it's thrown us for a loop. The Dev team is investigating workarounds for these issues and we now hope to have a beta version of doubleTwist for Windows with MTP support available within the next couple of months.

My galaxy s3 connects with my pc but when i try to use airsync, i get an error message and none of the songs transfers. I figured i'd just usb the songs over which worked but all of the file info was lost...song name, artist. Suggestions?

  Please run the doubleTwist computer app in debug mode to send us a debug package. To do this, please hold down SHIFT and open the application. A new menu, Debug, should now appear next to the Help menu. Please make sure that the "Log Sync progress" option in the Debug menu is enabled.
  
  Wait one minute for the startup scan to complete. Attempt a sync and verify that the same errors are occurring.
  
  Then select "Send Log..." from the Debug menu and please include your email and the URL of this support topic in the "Additional Information:" field.

Hello,

I purchased the airsyncy app on Samsung galaxy s3. I launced the Doubletwist from my windows app. Both devices are attached to the same WIFI network. but, when i lauch the app on my windows PC, it does not recognize/find the samsung phone.

I even tried adding the ip address manually but it does not recognize the phone. How can I sync music to my phone?

I just converted my iPhone to the S3... when will we see the update to synch via the USB. To "pay" for airsync seems crazy to me. But am willing to keep trying this phone if I can just simply synch my music... any updates?

I'm having the same problems here. Feel that doubletwist just gets worse and worse. I have an impression that as an osx 10.6.8 and android 4.1.2 user I am being 'deprioritized.' Doubletwist looks great but functionality has always been disappointing.
