FLAC has been supported on Android for the last three versions (Honeycomb, Ice Crean Sandwich, and Jelly Bean). It is a completely open standard with free codecs and developer tools. Is there any reason why you guys aren't supporting it on DT Desktop?
I purchased the entire version of DT for Android (App, AirSync, EQ, the whole nine). You guys have the best player on Android hands down. It would normally be a no brainer for Audiophiles who use Android, but you don't support the major standard that those same Audiophiles would be using on your desktop version (which mean we can't sync!!!).
My only option has been to install WinAmp (who is probably your biggest competitor) to sync and play files on the desktop and use DoubleTwist on Android. To sync wirelessly, I had to install WinAmp's Android Player as well. Why cater to your competition like this?
PLEASE add FLAC support to DT Desktop. At this point the software is reaching maturity. What other features are you adding that trumps this???

I too am awaiting FLAC support. I bought DT's full on package expecting FLAC to be supported already. Recently switched from a apple device for freedom.

After searching for other FLAC related posts, I found that they've been "considering" adding full FLAC support for well over a year. What that translates to is, "we don't really want to put fourth the effort until enough people complain about it". Otherwise they'd simply say it's on their development roadmap for a future release.
Because of that, I've moved on to Music Bee. I'll continue using the Android version, like I said in my original post, it's hands down the best player on Android. It's very unlikely that I'll switch back to doubleTwist desktop though unless they provide an easy way to import all of my playlists. -
